GTA Online Heist Money Guide (2026)

By CashGrind Team·Published Apr 29, 2026

Cayo Perico is still the best heist for solo players in 2026. $1.3M–$1.6M per run. But if you have a crew the Diamond Casino Heist with diamonds can net over $3M total. Here's every heist ranked by what you actually take home.

Every Heist Ranked by What You Actually Take Home

Forget the headline numbers. Here's what you walk away with after everyone takes their cut:

Cayo Perico (solo) $1.3M–$1.6M net per run. 45–60 min with setups. Fully solo. 144-minute cooldown between runs. Nothing touches it for solo earners. Panther Statue during events pushes it past $2M but that's rare.
Diamond Casino Heist (2–4 players) Total take: $2.1M–$3.6M depending on vault contents. Diamonds on hard mode is the jackpot. After Lester's 5% cut and crew splits you're looking at $400k–$800k per player with 2 people. Big Con or Silent approaches are best. Aggressive loses money from bullet damage.
Cluckin' Bell Farm Raid (1–4 players) $500k per run as leader. $750k your first time with the completion bonus. No setup cost. No property needed at all. Just wait for Vincent to call you. Quick to run. Seriously underrated.
Pacific Standard (4 players) $1.875M total. The original big heist. Still pays decent after the Criminal Enterprises buff (+50% finale payout). But you NEED 4 players. Finding 3 randoms who won't quit? Good luck.
Doomsday Act III (2–4 players) $1.8M on normal. $2.25M on hard. Hardest content in GTA Online. If your team can't handle it you'll spend more on snacks and armor than you earn. Know what you're getting into.
Doomsday Act II — The Bogdan Problem (2–4 players) $1.187M on normal. Mid difficulty. Famous for the Bogdan replay glitch that people exploited for years. Still a solid heist if you run it legit.
Doomsday Act I (2–4 players) $975k on normal. Easiest Doomsday act. Good warmup if you've never done Doomsday before.
Fleeca Job (2 players) $250k total. Baby's first heist. Takes 15 minutes. Good for unlocking trade prices. Not a money maker.

Which Heist Should You Be Running Right Now

Different setup. Different heist:

Solo player? Cayo. Every time. Nothing else comes close for solo. Run it. The cooldown is brutal. 144 minutes of dead time. But that's when you run contracts and sells. Don't sit around waiting.

Got one friend? Cayo together (48-minute cooldown with a crew) or Diamond Casino with just the two of you. Casino splits are better with fewer people. Two-player Casino with diamonds is insane money per person.

Got a full squad of 4? Diamond Casino. Big Con approach. Diamonds in the vault. Hard mode. You're looking at $3M+ total take. Split four ways that's still $600k+ each. Finale is about 30 minutes. Setups take longer but you can spread them across sessions.

Brand new player? Cluckin' Bell Farm Raid. No investment needed. No property required. You can run this before you can afford anything. $500k per run. It's how you fund the Kosatka.

Want a challenge? Doomsday Act III. Bring a good crew. Bring snacks. Bring patience. The payout is solid but the difficulty is no joke. People wipe on this for hours.

Heist Mistakes That Cost You Money

We've seen all of these. Don't be this person:

Running Diamond Casino Aggressive approach. Every bullet hit costs you money. Literally. $2k per shot lost from your take. Big Con or Silent & Sneaky. Always.
Hiring expensive support crew on Casino. Cheap gunman. Cheap driver. The best hacker for max vault time (Avi or Paige). That's all you need. Don't waste 10% of your cut on a gunman whose weapons you won't use in Big Con.
Skipping the Cayo Elite Challenge. Under 15 minutes. No deaths. No alerts. That's an extra $50k–$100k for doing what you should be doing anyway. Practice the Drainage Tunnel route until it's muscle memory.
Doing original heists (Prison Break, Humane Labs) for money. Fun for the story. They got buffed in the Criminal Enterprises update but they're still nowhere near Cayo or Casino money. Run them once for the experience. Never for the cash.
Not scoping Cayo properly. Skip the secondary loot scouting if you're speedrunning. But ALWAYS check the drainage tunnel entrance and the primary target. 5 minutes of scoping saves 10 minutes of problems in the finale.
Doing every Cayo prep. You don't need demolition charges if you're going Drainage Tunnel. You don't need the cutting torch for the same reason. Skip the preps that don't match your approach. Saves 10–15 minutes per run.
Trying to solo Pacific Standard. You can't. It needs 4. And at least one of those 4 will disconnect. Every time. It's the law.
